I started my jewellery career at the age of 19 after graduating from Plymouth college of art and design.
After serving a three-year apprenticeship with a local goldsmith, where i learnt the basic art of repairing jewellery, I was given the opportunity from Keith White to join the team at Michael Spiers under the guidance of Michael Pennington.
I worked for 25 years gaining a better knowledge of skills such as retipping rings , gemstone replacement, restoration, wax carving for casting as well as working closely with customers on designing and making jewellery.
Having a passion for coloured gemstones I achieved a professional gemstome diploma (grade A) which has given me a better understanding of all the stones such as rubies, sapphires, emeralds and diamonds.
As the assistant manager of the workshop for 15 years, seeing personal clients repeatedly returning has kept me passionate about jewellery, which in turn has inspired me to create Christophers, somewhere I can give all customers the service and craftsmenship that their jewellery deserves.
